This eCourse takes you through the bone and soft tissue injuries of the shoulder that you can expect to see in the Emergency Department.

At the end of the eCourse you will be able to take the quiz to check your learning. The pass mark for the quiz is 70%, but you can take it as many times as you want !

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the eCourse you will be able to:
- understand the anatomy of the shoulder
- be able to identify the various components of the rotator cuff
- understand the ED management for common shoulder soft tissue injuries
- be more confident in the techniques used to reduce an anterior shoulder dislocation

The rotator cuff comprises the Supraspinatus, Infraspinatus, Subscapularis, and Teres minor muscles. It is the tendons of the muscle which are most often torn. The Suprasinatus being the one we most frequently see.
